Fred Thompson has dropped out of the race for president. I liked him on Law and Order, not so much as a presidential candidate. Now he can go back to doing something he’s relatively good at. I’d feel more secure if Ghouliani dropped out (kudos for the name). His continued presence gives me shivers. He’s probably waiting for McCain to screw up and drive the electorate into his arms.

Of course, McCain is rather frightening, too. “Bomb, bomb, bomb… Iran”. Really the only one I can somewhat stomach besides Ron Paul is Huckabee and only because he does seem to be a genuine Christian even if his politics are pretty hideous and similar to his Repug brethren.
Really at this point, I think we’re going to wind up with another war hawk who will make truly awful foreign policy decisions going forward. I suspect that unless I get an opportunity to vote for a Green party candidate then I will not be participating in this hideous circus come November.
I wish Ralph Nader would run again.
