I agree. We have seen an erosion of political standards over the last two generations and now we take mediocrity for granted. Our political culture has degraded to the point where honesty and idealism are mocked instead of lauded.
Regardless of any criticism one might want to level at Nader, he is unflinchingly honest, steadfastly incorruptible, and probably the single most accomplished legislator of all the candidates, despite not holding office (the number of useful state and federal laws Nader has pushed through over the last 40 years boggles the mind).
I welcome Nader and anyone like him into the race.
